"Look at every path closely
and deliberately, then
ask yourself this crucial
question: Does this path
have a heart? If it does,
then the path is good. If
it doesn't it is of no use."
~ Carlos Casteneda
"Become more and more
innocent, less
knowledgeable and more
childlike. Take life as fun -
because that's precisely
what it is!"

"Life is a journey, not a destination…"
My journey on the healing arts path started in around 2001 when I completed my first Reiki weekend in Cheltenham. This was my first awakening to working with energy, and it awoke something within me and guided me on a path of understanding the fundamental principles of a philosophy that I try to live my life by. I will always be grateful to my first Reiki teacher, Patricia Woodward, and to Deborah Radburn, who, as well as being my good friend, later lead me through my Reiki Second Degree and, much later, my Reiki Masters.
I moved to Bath in 2003 and came across Shiatsu through the Bath School of Shiatsu & Yoga. Despite knowing very little about Shiatsu at the time, I began a foundation course with strong feelings of certainty that I was on the right path, and that I would meet lots of wonderful, like-minded people; and I was right!

I completed my Shiatsu Diploma in 2008 with thanks to my excellent teachers; Frank Davis, Rebecca Davis and Heidi Armstrong. I love the amazing feeling that comes from making people feel better by simply putting my hands on them and releasing their true potential. And the non-judgmental reflection of the trials and tribulations of bodies and minds is crucial for my own growth.
After graduation I was fortunate enough to be able to spend almost a year in Thailand, which was an important opportunity to deepen my spiritual awareness and sensitivity to 'energy therapies'. I studied Thai massage in a beautiful tribal village with the Sunshine Network, and went on to achieve 10 days of silent meditation at Suan Mokkh, and had countless other life-changing experiences providing me with new perspectives on life.
I am passionate about what I do, and I love working with people to help them improve their lives through the simple methods of relaxation and empowerment.

I now live in Bradford on Avon, near to Bath, and regularly practice yoga, qi gong and meditation, which are the tonics that allow me the space for self-development and growth. I have started my post graduate year with the Bristol School of Shiatsu, and I maintain links with the Bath School by assisting the under graduate students. I also enjoy singing - performing regularly with Bath Choral Society - and taking any opportunity to travel, especially where there may be the chance to scuba dive in tropical waters...
I hope our paths will meet soon and we can spend some time journeying together.
Best wishes
Sarah
